Welcome to Locktober: Starting Strong and Building Healthy Habits
300 boxes, that provide 300 opportunities for self improvement.
As we kick off Locktober, now is the perfect time to focus on building and maintaining habits that will set you up for long-term success. The key to this 30-day challenge is simple: take small actions, tick boxes, and build momentum—one day at a time. Locktober isn’t about doing everything perfectly; it’s about making progress and turning small daily actions into habits that eventually become second nature.
Each day, your goal is simply to show up and tick a few boxes. It’s not about trying to complete every task every week. In fact, it’s the boxes you don’t tick that often provide the most valuable insights. Those blank spaces are data points, showing you where you can direct your attention and effort to improve your physical and mental well-being.
To make this challenge even more effective, pick a few non-negotiables—habits that will be your priority no matter what. These could be things like getting enough sleep, hitting 10,000 steps, or starting your morning with a strong AM routine and journaling. You can also add a personal habit to the blank space in your tracker—maybe reading for 20 minutes, stretching, or avoiding your phone for an hour before bed. The more habits you track, the more opportunities you have to build consistency and give yourself boxes to tick.
Locktober is all about consistency, not perfection. Show up, take it one day at a time, and don’t worry if some days don’t go as planned. You’re building habits that will benefit your health, productivity, and mindset in the long run.
